Fun at the Zoo(s)!

A couple weeks ago, when my mom was visiting for the week of Hayden's birthday, we went to the local Cougar Mountain Zoo. It's a small little zoo in Issaquah with a lot of birds, some random animals like llamas and wallabies, and the most impressive 2 tigers, 1 of which is a White Tiger. They are in a small little enclosure, which is a little sad, but makes them easier to see. For a quarter, you can get 2 little pieces of food to feed the llamas. Hayden was a little too scared, but it was fun to see them up close. I think Hayden liked the fountain and walking in the gravel the most. Good thing we had a discounted admission!

Then last weekend was another beautiful day so Phil, Hayden and I went for another trip to the zoo, this time to the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. The last time we went to the zoo, an elephant did a great big "poopy" in front of us and ever since, every time Hayden sees any kind of elephant, he says "poopy"! So we were on a mission to go see the elephants again, we even bought him a little elephant figurine at the ZooStore to build the excitement. He held onto the little baby elephant the whole time at the zoo, and although we didn't see the elephant go poopy again this time, he still says "poopy" and "ephaphant" back-to-back.

Hayden also really enjoyed the "Old Tractor" in the petting zoo area.
